Description
Made with soy, wheat and sea salt, it has a more delicate and less salty flavor than tamari. Prepared using the best traditional methods (fermented for 18 months in wooden barrels). The fermentation process enriches it with enzymes that stimulate digestion, and its rich protein content helps complement a predominantly vegetarian diet. Shoyu is pasteurized for one hour at 82°C to prevent degradation and stop fermentation; the high water content would otherwise not allow for preservation. It pairs well with any savory dish. It replaces salt, stock cubes, and various flavorings. Also suitable for cold dishes, salads, and sauces. To be used directly in dishes with rice, pasta, sushi. Product suitable for vegans.
