Description
Nasal spray indicated for non-allergic cell-mediated vasomotor rhinitis and rhinosinusitis (NARNE, NARES, NARMA and NARESMA), for mild to moderate allergic (IgE-mediated) vasomotor rhinitis and rhinosinusitis, as well as for individuals undergoing FESS (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery) to create a protective effect on the respiratory mucosa and promote anatomical and functional tissue repair.
It is useful in the treatment of the aforementioned vasomotor rhinitis and rhinosinusitis when watery rhinorrhea is present, associated with one or more of the following symptoms:
- sneezing (even in bursts);
- blocked nose in both nostrils;
- nasal itching;
- conjunctivitis with red or itchy eyes.
CELMAST exerts a protective action on the respiratory mucosa through the barrier effect provided by high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, promoting tissue repair. Furthermore, it exerts a protective action on mast cells, reducing their sensitized reactivity and decreasing the production and migration of eosinophils and neutrophils responsible for inflammation, mucosal damage, and the onset of the symptoms described above.
Instructions for use
For children (3-12 years):
Nasal spray: 1 or 2 sprays per nostril twice a day (morning and evening). Minimum duration: at least 10 days; can be extended up to twenty days per month for three consecutive months.
For nasal spray (children and adults)
1) Blow your nose to remove mucus or residue to allow the product to effectively reach the nasal areas.
2) Shake before use.
3) Remove the dispenser safety clip and protective cap.
4) Prime the pump by pressing 2-3 times until a regular spray is obtained.
5) Gently insert the dispenser into one nostril, keeping your head upright and slightly tilted forward.
6) Press the spray once while inhaling slowly through the nose.
7) Repeat in the other nostril following the same procedure.
Note: do not exhale or blow your nose immediately after application to avoid dispersing the product (wait 10-15 minutes). Use in children must be supervised or assisted by an adult.

Components
Functional substances: sodium hyaluronate 350-1,150 KDa at 0.3% (hyaluronic acid sodium salt), palmitoylethanolamide.
Excipients: purified water FU, ethyl alcohol, mint flavor, eucalyptol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, polysorbate 80, sodium chloride, monosodium phosphate dihydrate (or citric acid monohydrate), disodium phosphate dodecahydrate (or sodium citrate dihydrate).

Warnings
- Perform all administration operations gently, avoiding inserting the tip of the dispenser too deeply into the nostrils and maintaining an upright position during use.
- Close the bottle tightly after each application.
- Store the product away from light and direct heat sources. Do not store in the refrigerator.
- Do not use the product for more than 20 consecutive days per month.
- If persistent or severe undesirable effects occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
- For children, use must be supervised by an adult.
- Hypersensitivity (allergy) to any of the product's components.
- Use in subjects with untreated viral or bacterial upper respiratory tract infections.
- Use in children under the indicated age or in the presence of conditions requiring specific medical evaluation.

Undesirable effects (possible side effects)
The most frequent effects are:
- burning in the nostrils immediately after administration.
Also may occur:
- throat and palate irritation;
- sneezing and watery eyes.
The rarest effects are:
- epistaxis (small nosebleeds), especially in subjects with nasal vascular fragility.
Overdosing the product increases the likelihood of the described undesirable effects occurring.
If persistent or severe undesirable effects occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
All operations must be performed gently: avoid inserting the dispenser too deeply into the nostrils and maintain an upright position during application.
After each administration:
- close the bottle tightly;
- do not expose to direct light;
- store away from heat sources.
The solution for aerosol therapy must be administered exclusively via a micronized nasal douche. Do not use nebulizers with specific masks or oral mouthpieces for treating the lower respiratory tract. Do not use the product after the expiry date. The CELMAST solution is not sterile and is not injectable. Keep the product out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use the product if the bottle is not intact and well sealed.

Storage
Store at a temperature between 10°C and 30°C.
Shelf life unopened: 24 months.
