A two-piece mechanical coupling system that combines the SenSura double-layer adhesive with an audible "click" to ensure the pouch is securely locked to the baseplate. The SenSura Click devices are available with the SenSura and SenSura Xpro baseplates, flat or convex. These devices include voidable, closed, or urostomy pouches. The extensive product line includes a range of baseplates in pre-cut or cut-to-size formats for maximum customization, along with pouches in a variety of sizes available in transparent and opaque versions. The SenSura adhesive consists of two layers:
- protective layer; protects the skin from material exiting the stoma.
- Layer close to the skin; keeps skin healthy by absorbing excess moisture.
The SenSura Xpro adhesive offers additional protection against large leaks. It is suitable for people with ileostomy or urostomy tubes who have large leaks that can cause standard adhesives to peel off too quickly.
The pouch is securely attached to the adhesive baseplate using a mechanical locking system. An audible click confirms the pouch is securely locked to the adhesive baseplate. Before closing, the pouch can be rotated to the desired position without having to remove it from the adhesive baseplate. The pouch can be removed from the adhesive baseplate with double-layer adhesive, allowing the pouch to be changed more frequently than the adhesive baseplate.
Convex plate, for stomas that are difficult to manage
SenSura baseplates are available with Convex Light. The oval-shaped Convex Light baseplate is specifically designed for difficult-to-manage stomas (for example, a stoma that is flush, retracted, or located in a skin fold). It applies gentle, direct pressure to the peristomal skin to reduce the risk of leakage, allowing the stoma to protrude.
