Description
SenSura Mio adhesive drainage bag is a one-piece bag used together with the other components of the Irrigation Set to perform irrigation, a practice that regulates bowel emptying in colostomy patients. It is a medical device.
The bag is transparent, tapered and open at the bottom and top. At the top it is equipped with a clipper to allow closure.
It is made of elastic SenSura Mio adhesive which, thanks to BodyFit Technology, adapts to the irregularities of the skin offering high instant adhesion, safety during use and intact skin upon removal.
The adhesive consists of two layers:
- the innermost layer has a special network structure, which incorporates small hydrocolloids: in contact with the excretions it transforms into a cohesive and compact gel, with high resistance to erosion. This creates a protective seal that reduces the onset of infiltrations together with the maintenance of the correct gradient of skin humidity, favoring tissue repair;
- in the outermost and thinnest layer, the elastic capacity of the adhesive allows this layer to adapt perfectly to the irregularities of the skin, offering high instant adhesion and consequent safety in use.
Conservation
Store in the original intact packaging away from light and humidity, at a constant temperature between 15°C and 30°C.
