Description
SenSura Mio Convex Flip for colostomy with lining with inspection opening, is a one-piece bag indicated for the collection of faeces from subjects with a colostomy.
Thanks to Bodyfit Technology, SenSura Mio devices feature an elastic adhesive that allows them to adapt perfectly to skin irregularities, offering high instant adhesion for as long as necessary, safety during use and intact skin upon removal.
The adhesive consists of two layers:
- the innermost layer has a special network structure, which incorporates small hydrocolloids: in contact with the excretions it transforms into a cohesive and compact gel, with high resistance to erosion. This creates a protective seal that reduces the onset of infiltrations together with the maintenance of the correct gradient of skin humidity, favoring tissue repair;
- in the outermost and thinnest layer, the elastic capacity of the adhesive allows this layer to adapt perfectly to the irregularities of the skin, offering high instant adhesion and consequent safety in use.
SenSura Mio Convex Flip is a solution for people with protruding abdominal shapes, perfectly and firmly fitting bulges, hernias and curves. The star-shaped petals hug the body without creating folds or wrinkles.
The ring stabilizes the central area so that the stoma has the necessary support. The flat plate is indicated for people with regular abdominal conformation, thanks to the BodyFit™ Technology, it is made of an elastic adhesive; it has an oval shape and its elastic structure guarantees adhesion, safety, skin protection and atraumaticity during removal on all surfaces of the peristomal skin.
It is available both in a version that can be cut to the desired size (following the guide printed on the protective mask of the adhesive surface) and in a pre-cut version.
The SenSura Mio range has a turquoise adhesive removal tab for greater visibility, and an easy-grip thumb grip.
There is also a simple cutting guide: the cutting circles are soft, there are different cutting sizes with strong contrasts for users with poor vision, the circles do not intersect.
The bag
The bag has a closed bottom and is lined and allows for total discretion of the contents.
The color of the bag is innovative and discreet, specially designed to not be visible under clothing.
It is entirely covered in Ökotex fabric for greater comfort in contact with the skin, water-repellent and has an inspection window on the back for careful monitoring of the stoma and effluents.
The bag is equipped with a circular filtering system. The filter consists of a very large and circular pre-filter area that allows it to block any type of effluent before it comes into contact with the filter membranes. This prevents blockage. The filter is made of activated carbon positioned inside the bag itself, in the front part, under the inspection pocket and ensures deodorization.
Conservation
It is recommended to store the product in its original, intact packaging, away from light and humidity, at a constant temperature between 15°C and 30°C.
