Powdered thickener for food products (liquid and semi-liquid).
It has a patented amylase-resistant formula (Nutilis "blocks" the action of amylase, preventing the food from becoming too liquid and therefore dangerous for the patient to swallow).
The mixture does not change consistency allowing the patient to swallow safely.
Neutral taste, does not alter the flavor of the food to which it is added.
Gluten free.

Food intended for special medical purposes, indicated for patients with swallowing problems (dysphagia).
To be used as a thickener for liquids, semi-liquids or blended meals.

How to use
Preparation guide:
Option 1: with the shaker
1. Pour the drink into the shaker.
2. Add the recommended amount of Nutilis.
3. Screw the lid tightly and shake vigorously until the powder dissolves completely (about 5-10 seconds).
4. Stir the drink gently for 1 or 2 minutes.
5. Let it sit for a few minutes while the drink reaches the desired density.
Option 2: with a fork or a small whisk in the shaker or in a tall container
1. Pour the drink into a shaker or tall container.
2. Add the recommended amount of Nutilis.
3. Stir vigorously until the powder dissolves completely.
4. Mix gently for 1 to 2 minutes.
5. Let it sit for a few minutes while the drink reaches the desired density.
Option 3: With a fork or small whisk in a cup
1. Pour half of the drink into a cup.
2. Add the recommended amount of Nutilis.
3. Mix until the powder becomes moist and has a smooth consistency.
4. Add the remaining liquid to the cup.
5. Stir the drink for about 1-2 minutes until you get a thickened mixture.
Let it sit for a few minutes while the drink reaches the desired density.
Important: Do not add additional quantities of Nutilis during the resting phase because the liquid will continue to thicken.
Adding additional Nutilis to thickened drinks: After the drink has been thickened with Nutilis, you can add additional Nutilis Powder to increase the density of the fluid.
To obtain a better result and a homogeneous consistency, it is recommended to follow the instructions below.
For best results use a shaker.
1. Add about half a scoop to the thickened liquid.
2. Screw the lid tightly.
3. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds.
4. Unscrew the lid and mix gently with a fork for a few seconds.
5. Evaluate the consistency.
6. If you want to increase the consistency, repeat instructions 1 through 5 adding a maximum of 1 scoop at a time.
Hot drinks (temperature > 60°C): at the end of preparation, let the liquid rest for a few minutes to reach the desired density.
For best results and your safety, we recommend letting hot drinks cool down a little before thickening them.
If necessary or desired, drinks can be heated in the microwave after adding Nutilis.
Once the preparation is complete, let the liquid rest for a few minutes to reach the desired density.
Note: If you want to reheat a thickened hot drink, be sure to reheat it immediately after thickening. Drinks containing milk should be consumed within 2 hours to avoid spoilage.
Important: Do not add additional quantities of Nutilis during this phase because the liquid will continue to thicken.
Carbonated drinks (cola, lemonade):
For best results, before adding Nutilis Powder, stir the carbonated drink until the bubbles and most of the foam have disappeared.
