Description
Enteral nutrition food, in powder form, with high energy content, suitable for patients with cystic fibrosis.
For the dietary management of: disease-related malnutrition; patients with high energy requirements; malabsorption states or other conditions requiring supplementation with a fat/carbohydrate supplement, e.g. cystic fibrosis.
Ingredients
Maltodextrin, vegetable oils ( soybean oil, palm oil), glucose syrup, skimmed cow's milk , potassium caseinate (from cow's milk ), emulsifiers (mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids), flavouring, stabilizer (dipotassium hydrogen phosphate), sodium chloride, magnesium citrate, antioxidant (ascorbyl palmitate).
No gluten -containing ingredients. No detectable gluten when tested at a sensitivity level of less than 5 parts per million (<5 ppm, i.e. <5 mg/kg).

How to use
Handle aseptically to ensure product remains sterile. Prepare drink in portions and consume within 2 hours or refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Always discard unfinished feeds. Use should be determined by a healthcare professional.
From 3 to 5 years: 1/2 sachet + 240 ml of whole milk
From 5 to 10 years: 1 sachet + 240 ml of whole milk
From 10 years and up: 1-2 sachets + 240 ml of whole milk
Warnings
Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Not suitable for parenteral use. Not suitable for patients with galactosemia. Not suitable for patients allergic to cow's milk proteins. Not suitable for infants and children under 3 years of age. Must be used under medical supervision.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place.
Validity in intact package: 18 months.
Once opened, a sachet of Scandishake should be used within 2-3 days. Do not refrigerate.
