Description
DERMATIX GEL 15 G DERMATIX
DERMATIX GEL
Dermatix
Description
A clear silicone gel that treats scars from surgery, burns, and other injuries, dries quickly and helps hydrate the skin. Dermatix flattens, softens, and smoothes scars, relieves pain, itching, and related discomfort, and reduces the redness associated with scar tissue. Dermatix gel is easily applied to all skin surfaces, including the face, joints, and body parts subject to movement, and dries quickly, forming a clear "film." Dermatix was developed using the same long-chain base polymers used in silicone gel films and is available in a tube. The gel contains polysiloxane.
Dermatix is used for the treatment and prevention of keloids and hypertrophic scars (such as those resulting from general surgical procedures, traumatic wounds, and burns) after the wound has completely healed and the skin surface is intact. It is also used for immature, raised, red scars that are actively healing, often up to two years after the wound has closed.
How to use
Remove the tube cap and cut off the tip. Wash the affected area and pat dry, as Dermatix should only be applied to clean, dry skin. Gently massage a small amount of gel into the scar. If you apply too much product, gently remove it with a cloth to avoid staining your clothing. Once Dermatix gel has dried, you can apply makeup and other cosmetics.
Apply twice daily, morning and evening, for at least two months. For difficult scars, it may be necessary to continue treatment. Dermatix can also be used on children.
Components
Polysiloxane.
Warnings
Dermatix should not be applied to open, healing wounds. Dermatix should not be applied to mucous membranes or near the eyes. Dermatix should not be applied to skin treated with other medicinal products or other topical products without the advice of a doctor.
Rarely, the gel may cause redness, pain, or skin irritation. If you experience any reactions, discontinue use. If you have any questions about these or other side effects, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Keep out of reach of children.
Conservation
Store below 25°C away from heat sources. Do not use Dermatix after the expiry date shown on the package.
Shelf life when packaged intact: 60 months.
