Description
Food intended for special medical purposes.
Concentrated whey protein isolate 92%, powder, based on maltodextrins and fats indicated for the dietary management of malnutrition in patients requiring modulation or supplementation of dietary energy intake with sources of carbohydrates and fats.
Protein free.
To be used by probe/PEG or orally, suitable for dysphagic patients.
Ingredients
Maltodextrin, vegetable oils (rapeseed oil, corn oil, palm oil, sunflower oil); emulsifiers: E472c and soya lecithin; antioxidants: E304 and E306.
The ratio of linoleic to alpha-linolenic acid (α-6:α-3) is 5:1.
Gluten- free and lactose-free.
Nutritional characteristics
How to use
It is used to increase the carbohydrate and lipid content. The daily amount must be included in a diet plan based on the patient's energy needs.
It is ideal to take the daily amount spread over several meals.
The product has no thickening properties, is easily soluble and can be added to all foods (e.g. creams, muesli, baby food, soups and purees) and drinks, neutral taste.
Food and drinks must always be freshly prepared.
Example for use (standard dilution): add 20 g of ULK CarboLip to 100 ml of drinking water.
Warnings
Use under medical supervision. It should not be used as the sole source of nutrition.
Suitable for enteral feeding (tube or PEG). Not for parenteral use.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place. Close tightly after use.
Once opened, the contents must be used within 4 weeks.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
