Description
Nasal irrigation device with sterile solution indicated for daily hygiene through the shower of the nasal mucosa in order to prevent obstructions due to stagnation of phlegm secretions or for those who suffer from breathing difficulties due to pathologies such as: allergic rhinitis, rhinosinusitis, turbinate hypertrophy. The hypertonic solution produces a natural decongestion of the mucous membranes.
How to use
For adults and children over 8 years of age, the hypertonic solution is recommended for 1 to 2 irrigations per day or according to different specific medical indications. When the nasal mucosa is irritated, a slight burning sensation may be felt at the first wash.
1. Carefully remove the first protective pouch from the bag.
2. Warm the bag with the solution to approximately 35°C-38°C by immersing it in hot water, then remove the protective cap by unscrewing it.
3. Attach the suction cup to a smooth surface above the sink.
4. Open the package containing the device.
5. Lower the Roller wheel until the tube is completely blocked.
6. Remove the cap and firmly screw the male connector of the device. Holding the bag connector between your fingers, with the other hand break the fracture cone (arrowhead part) to activate the bag/device connection.
7. Hang the bag on the suction cup, securing it appropriately.
8. Tilt your head forward over the sink at a position lower than your shoulders.
9. Bring the irrigator nozzle to your nose and gently press on the nostril. Breathe through your mouth throughout the treatment.
10. Raise the Roller wheel about halfway and then adjust it so that the solution flows gently without going into the throat.
11. About halfway through the treatment, change nostrils if necessary.
Warnings
If during the irrigation treatment you experience symptoms such as: ear discomfort or a feeling of occlusion, stop the treatment. Do not tilt your head to the side during the treatment.
If small amounts of solution flow into the throat causing coughing, stop treatment, expel or swallow. The solution in small doses is not toxic. In children, due to the difficulty in keeping the mouth open, it is recommended to keep their head forward and lower than the shoulders. For disabled people, elderly people and children, the assistance of another adult is recommended during use. Do not use in case of epistaxis (nosebleed) in progress or just finished.
Do not use in case of specific hypersensitivity to any component. Do not use after the expiry date. Do not use if the device is damaged. The product is for external use only. The solution must be used immediately after opening.
The sterility and expiration dates shown on the device and the solution refer to intact and correctly stored products. The device is intended for single-patient use. After use, rinse the device inside and out with normal drinking water and store it in the external bag of the bag. Upon subsequent reuse, first disinfect using AMUCHINA 2% solution (20 ml of product in one liter of water) by completely immersing the device. Leave the disinfectant to act for 15 minutes.
Rinse the device thoroughly inside and out with drinking water. With these precautions, the device can be used continuously, replacing only the bag, for a maximum of 10 times for 10 consecutive days. Keep out of reach of children. Use the product exclusively for its intended use. After use, do not dispose of the bag and the device in the environment.
Conservation
Store between 5°C and 35°C, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
