DescriptionAproteic piadina. Food for special medical purposes.
Indicated for the dietary management of Chronic Renal Insufficiency (CRI). Indicated for the dietary management of Phenylketonuria. Indicated for the dietary management of Parkinson's disease (under treatment with Levodopa). The product, due to its composition, is suitable for all three categories of patients. In particular: the product has been specifically formulated with ingredients with a reduced content of protein, sodium, phosphorus and potassium to meet the nutritional needs of patients with Chronic Renal Insufficiency; the composition of the product also features a reduced intake of phenylalanine for the dietary management of subjects with Phenylketonuria. Furthermore, the product, thanks to a limited protein content, is also suitable for the dietary management of patients with Parkinson's disease under treatment with levodopa, as it does not interfere with the absorption of this amino acid. For patients undergoing levodopa therapy, the degree of any dysphagia and any malnutrition problems due to deficiency that may arise in conditions of protein restriction must be evaluated.
Ingredients
Water, corn starch, tapioca starch; vegetable oils: extra virgin olive oil, sunflower seed oil; vegetable fibers (potato, psyllium, inulin, dextrin, guar, pea, rice, flax), gluten-free flour mix (brown rice, buckwheat, pea, millet, flax); humectant: glycerol; thickeners: carboxymethylcellulose, guar gum, xanthan gum, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose; potato starch; emulsifier: sunflower lecithin; acidifier: citric acid; preservative: potassium sorbate; flavoring, salt.
