PROFAR PROFAR ECOLOGICAL THERMOMETER
PROFAR MEDICATION
Ecological THERMOMETER
Description
The mercury-free clinical thermometer is a patient temperature measuring device and is indicated for measurements under the tongue, under the armpit, or in the rectum.
The measuring temperature range must be between 35 °C and 42 °C, and the ambient temperature must be between 20 °C and 30 °C; if the temperature of the environment where the thermometer is stored is below 20 °C, please leave the thermometer at a temperature between 20 °C and 30 °C for at least 1-2 hours, or between 30 °C and 35 °C for ten minutes, before use or any test. Keep the thermometer at a temperature between -10 °C and 42 °C during storage and transport. After use, clean the thermometer, insert it into the chiller, shake it so that the metallic liquid goes down, then put it back in the plastic case to prevent damage.
Instructions for use
- Remove the clear plastic case.
- Before use, the liquid in the column must go below the lowest mark on the graduated scale, then remove the thermometer from the chiller, clean and disinfect the clinical thermometer with medical alcohol, or place it on a sterilized plastic tube.
- For oral measurement, be careful to position the thermometer correctly under the tongue and close the mouth tightly.
- For rectal measurement, it is recommended to apply a lubricant to the thermometer before inserting it into the anus.
- For armpit measurement, be careful to position the thermometer correctly and hold it tightly so that it stays firmly in place.
- Read the measurement taken by the clinical thermometer approximately 4 minutes after performing the above procedures.
Warnings
- Do not chew, talk, or play when the clinical thermometer is placed under the tongue.
- Make children lie down so that they are calm and it is easier to keep the end of the clinical thermometer still in case of rectal use, to prevent it from being inserted too deeply or from slipping out of the anus.
- Avoid bathing, eating, or smoking up to half an hour before measuring body temperature.
- This thermometer is not intended for special applications (e.g., thermometers for premature infants, basal thermometers).
- Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
