SIFRAVIT SILICONE PATCH 3X12 CM SMALL 1 PIECE
SIFRAVIT
Description
Product obtained by mixing a high-purity silicone gel with vitamin E in an appropriate concentration. This mixture exerts a synergistic effect in the remodeling of hypertrophic scars and keloids of any nature. In fact, the properties of silicone sheets and vitamin E in reducing relief and accelerating the scarring process are individually known. The former through a predominantly occlusive action, that is, capable of modifying the water concentration in the interstitial compartment; the latter (vitamin E or alpha-tocopheryl acetate) for its antioxidant effect and disaggregation of collagen fiber bundles. The mixing of the two components allows vitamin E to become bioavailable in the skin layers where its action is required, with a slow and constant release mechanism, made possible by the occlusive and permeable action of the silicone gel. This enhances the remodeling effect, which can be observed on both fresh and old scars by applying the compound in direct contact with the scar for an adequate period of time.
Instructions for use
Open the envelope carefully to avoid damaging the contents.
1. Gel preparation:
- it should only be used after scarring has occurred;
- it can be used whole or cut with a common pair of scissors, keeping in mind that it must extend at least 1 cm beyond the lesion to be treated. The remaining product can be kept intact in its container and used later;
- cut a strip of SIFRAVIT approximately 1 cm longer and wider than the skin surface to be treated.
2. Skin preparation
Wash the skin to be treated with soap and water (neutral), rinse and dry it before applying SIFRAVIT, thus avoiding the persistence of soap particles or foreign material. For fresh wounds where some crust residue or peeling skin particles still remain, a mild disinfectant can be used, but it is always advisable to rinse with a sterile saline swab to avoid the persistence of substances that could cause intolerance. If the skin is very oily, ether or acetone can be used to remove excess sebum and promote perfect adhesion between the patch and the skin.
3. Application of SIFRAVIT
- The side of SIFRAVIT furthest from the net contained within it and visible through transparency should be applied to the skin.
- Apply the patch for 10-12 hours during the first week, either during the day or at night.
- The application time can then be progressively increased up to 18-24 hours a day, ensuring that the skin can breathe periodically (depending on the intensity of sweating, body and ambient temperature).
In the case of continuous use, it is good practice to alternate two SIFRAVIT patches within 24 hours to regenerate the electrical charge of the product.
4. Maintaining the application site
SIFRAVIT must adhere perfectly to the area to be treated and, when possible, be subjected to mechanical pressure tolerable by the patient. Depending on the delicacy of the subject's skin, the following may be indicated: elastic net, hypoallergenic plaster, elastic-adhesive material in the form of a bandage, polyurethane foam or a simple cotton bandage. If it is in a stable position, SIFRAVIT can be directly applied under normal clothing, possibly protected by gauze.
5. Storage of SIFRAVIT
After each application, SIFRAVIT should be washed under running water at room temperature, gently dried with soft towels, and stored in its tray covered with plastic, in the dark (in a drawer) at room temperature or preferably in the refrigerator (not freezer).
6. Skin treatment after removing SIFRAVIT
After removing SIFRAVIT, the skin takes on a particularly soft and pliable appearance. If it is not necessary, it is not necessary to wash it immediately, to avoid removing the vitamin molecules that impregnate the most superficial layers. Instead, aeration of the treated part is appropriate to allow normal perspiration function.
7. Duration of SIFRAVIT
Used 12 to 18 hours a day, it lasts for 4 weeks. In areas subject to friction or disintegration, the sheet may appear worn or fractured: this does not compromise the effectiveness of the treatment at all.
Components
Dimethylpolysiloxane, vinyldimethylpolysiloxane, hydrosiloxane, alpha-tocopheryl acetate.

Non-sterile packaging.
Storage
Validity after opening: 1 month.
