Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin.

PIDO-FER, iron pidolate, is a ferrous salt of pidolic acid or L-PCA, obtained from the cyclization of L-glutamic acid, an amino acid of vegetal origin, with a thermal process without the use of solvents or chemicals.
L-PCA is a substance naturally present in the body in numerous tissues and biological fluids where it performs various physiological functions.
Due to its physiological properties, L-PCA is recognized by the human body and acts as a vector that allows the elements associated with it to cross biological barriers more easily and quickly.
Its physiologically active structure allows for better assimilation and bioavailability of the mineral it transports, while simultaneously optimizing its tolerability.
The efficacy of iron pidolate therefore derives from the synergistic action between iron and L-PCA and is characterized by high bioavailability, good tolerability and thermal stability.
