Description
Otinova is for the treatment of inflammation of the ear canal, also known as swimmer's ear or otitis externa.
Directions for use
1. Before using Otinova for the first time, pump the spray several times until an even spray is achieved. Avoid spraying the solution towards the face.
2. Hold the bottle upright.
3. Hold the tip of the nozzle against the external ear canal.
4. Spray once or twice into the ear canal.
5. After spraying, tilt your head to allow the liquid to flow into the ear canal.
6. Remove excess liquid.
7. Repeat steps 2 to 6, morning and evening, for up to 7 days.
Components
Otinova solution contains aluminum acetate and aluminum acetotartrate (aluminum 1.8%), acetic acid and water (pH 3-4).
Warnings
Otinova should not be used if the eardrum is draining or if a perforation is suspected. Otinova should not be used in children under 5 years of age unless advised by a doctor (after checking the eardrum). Avoid contact with eyes.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not inhale the spray. Keep out of reach of children. If no significant improvement is noticed after 3 days of treatment, consult your doctor. Do not use Otinova continuously for more than 7 days. Before starting a new treatment period, wait at least one week after the end of the previous treatment period. In case of marked discomfort or soreness in and around the ear, if hearing is impaired, or in case of irritation/burning sensation in the ear that persists or worsens, consult your doctor.
Storage
Store at room temperature.
Do not use after the expiry date, which is stated on the packaging.
Shelf life after opening: 6 months.
