Description
Food supplement with potassium citrate-based sweeteners.
Particularly helpful in subjects undergoing intense fluid loss, such as heavy sweating, diuresis or diarrhea, or in patients undergoing drug therapy such as diuretics, laxatives or cortisone.
It is also particularly useful for those who perform intense sporting activity, as it not only provides an adequate quantity of readily assimilated potassium, but is also supplied in an alkaline form, through citrate.
This alkalizing action helps to neutralize lactic acid at the muscular level and allows it to flow more easily through the bloodstream.
This reduces the risk of cramps and muscle soreness.

Tribasic potassium citrate.

How to use
The BIOKCIT sachet dissolved in half a glass of water allows you to prepare a pleasant citrus-flavored drink.
It is recommended to take one sachet of BIOKCIT per day for adequate mineral integration.
For different indications (prevention of kidney stones) follow the medical prescription.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied diet.
BIOKCIT is contraindicated in patients with hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia, or conditions that may predispose to the appearance of such plasma alterations. These conditions include chronic renal failure, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
Concomitant administration of BIOKCIT and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) may cause hyperkalemia. It is therefore advisable to monitor the progress of potassium levels.
No interactions with other drugs are known.
Rarely, during treatment, mild gastrointestinal disturbances may develop such as: abdominal heaviness, nausea and occasionally diarrhea. The tablet form may be particularly suitable for these subjects.
