food supplement based on potassium citrate and magnesium useful for integrating these nutrients in case of reduced dietary intake or increased need. Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, normal energy metabolism, electrolyte balance and the reduction of the sense of tiredness and fatigue. Potassium contributes to normal muscle function.
Warnings
For potassium intake, it is advisable to consult your doctor. The simultaneous intake of some drugs can in turn interfere with potassium retention in the body. Use is not recommended for children. BIOKMAG is contraindicated in patients suffering from hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia, or from conditions that may predispose to the appearance of such plasma alterations (such as chronic renal failure and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus). The simultaneous intake of BIOKMAG and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) could cause hyperkalemia. In these cases, it is advisable to monitor the progress of potassium levels. No interactions with other drugs are known. Rarely, during treatment, mild gastrointestinal disturbances may be observed such as: abdominal heaviness, nausea and occasionally diarrhea. These symptoms can be alleviated by taking BIOKMAG on a full stomach. If these or other side effects occur, it is advisable to contact your doctor. The product contains polyalcohols: excessive consumption may have laxative effects. The product may promote alkalinization of urine.
