Bitter
DROPSFood supplement useful in cases of hypochlorhydria, heaviness of the stomach, chronic gastritis.
It is useful in cases of digestive difficulties, loss of appetite, dyspeptic disorders, diarrhea.
Dosage and Directions for Use
20 drops 1–3 times a day, in a little warm water, before meals.
Characteristics
- Gentian: it is known for its aperitif, stomachic, tonic, vermifuge and febrifuge properties. It contains bitter glucosides, pectins, vitamin C. It is famously used to stimulate digestive function and appetite, in cases of stomach weakness, flatulence, during convalescence.
- Cinchona gialla: it is known for its bitter-tonic, digestive, antimalarial, febrifuge properties. It contains alkaloids, tannins and quinotannic acids that give it tonic properties. It is useful in dyspepsia and in cases of loss of appetite.
- Roman wormwood: it is known for its digestive, antiseptic, emmenagogue, stimulant, tonic, vermifuge virtues. It contains essential oil, absinthine, flavonoids, resins, tannin, nitrates, acids. It is useful in case of loss of appetite, dyspepsia, digestive difficulties, convalescence.
- Cinnamon: It is known for its astringent, stimulating, stomachic, tonic, digestive, antispasmodic properties. It contains essential oil, tannins, starch, catechins.
