DescriptionPotassium citrate is an organic form in which potassium ions bind to citric acid. Citrates, by their very nature, are highly bioavailable so high dosages are not necessary for them to be effective. Citric acid is an organic acid that is normally found in fruit and that binds effectively to many minerals and trace nutrients, acting as a carrier across the gastrointestinal mucosa.
- Potassium contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, normal muscle function, and the maintenance of normal blood pressure.
- Citrate minerals have a high level of absorption and require little acidification to be assimilated by the intestinal mucosa.
- The raw materials used are GMO free and not irradiated.
