Description
Sterile isotonic ophthalmic ointment based on 0.4% sodium hyaluronate. This medical device helps maintain hydration and protect the ocular surface by creating a protective film.
The viscous nature of KORNEAKER allows for prolonged adherence to the ocular surface, enabling it to perform its moisturizing and protective action even during nighttime hours.
Indicated for relief from symptoms of dry eye and lagophthalmos. The formulation of the ointment promotes retention on the ocular surface, and sodium hyaluronate forms a protective shield on the corneal surface providing protection and hydration. Sodium hyaluronate distributes over the corneal surface, forming a structure capable of trapping water molecules. Thanks to this property, it hydrates and protects the ocular surface.
KORNEAKER improves hydration and lubrication of the ocular surface in cases of dryness, burning, or eye fatigue. KORNEAKER protects the corneal surface and slows the evaporation of the tear film in patients with nocturnal lagophthalmos, providing relief from typical symptoms such as dryness, burning, and the sensation of a foreign body in the eye.
How to use
Wash your hands before using the product.
Remove the protective cap.
On first use: gently squeeze the tube and discard the first amount of product that may appear watery.
Slightly tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket.
Apply light pressure on the tube and apply a layer of ophthalmic ointment in the cavity formed between the eye and the eyelid. Close the eye and gently blink the eyelids.
Additional daily doses may be applied according to the doctor's recommendations.
Avoid letting the tip of the tube touch the eye, eyelids, fingers, or any other surface.
Close the cap tightly after use.
Warnings
Do not use the product in case of known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the components.
After application, a transient sensation of a foreign body may be felt. It may be helpful to gently blink the eyelids or close the eyes for a few seconds.
Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged.
Do not use the product after the expiration date.
Do not ingest.
Do not share with others.
The viscous nature of the product may lead to temporary blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until clear vision is regained.
Remove contact lenses before using the ointment, otherwise the surface of the lenses may be damaged.
In case of concurrent treatment with other eye drops or ointments, wait about fifteen minutes between applications. It is recommended to use KORNEAKER last.
The product is normally intended for use for no more than seven consecutive days; for prolonged use, consult and follow the doctor's recommendations.
Keep the product and its components out of the sight and reach of children.
In case of ocular irritation, discontinue use of the product and contact a doctor.
In case of side effects or unusual sensations after using this product, contact a healthcare professional and report the information to the local distributor or manufacturer.
The product is intended for adults and children over 12 years of age.
In case of pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using the product.
Do not use the product if changes in appearance are noticed after the first opening.
