Leniref 30 Chewable Tablets

Description
Medical device based on magnesium alginate, Mucosave plus HC, calcium carbonate, and potassium bicarbonate.
Indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux and its associated symptoms, such as heartburn, esophagitis, acid regurgitation, and stomach burning. Also indicated for the treatment of laryngopharyngeal reflux and its associated symptoms, such as voice change, dry cough, sensation of a foreign body in the throat, swallowing difficulties, and irritation of the upper airways.

Ingredients
One 1.3 g chewable tablet contains: magnesium alginate 250 mg, Mucosave plus HC (Opuntia ficus indica L., Olea europaea L. maltodextrin) 60 mg, calcium carbonate 80 mg, potassium bicarbonate 40 mg. Excipients: magnesium hydroxide, isomalt, sucralose, mint flavor, cooling flavor, masking flavor, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, Carbopol 974P NF, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, sodium carboxymethylcellulose.

Gluten-free and lactose-free.

Directions for use
Place the tablet directly in the mouth; the tablet can be chewed or dissolved (it can be broken and chewed a little at a time). Afterwards, a little still water can be drunk.
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age: 2 tablets after meals and in the evening before bedtime. Another dose can be taken during the day according to medical advice. Do not take Leniref for more than 30 consecutive days; if symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

Warnings
Do not take Leniref in case of known hypersensitivity to the components, perforation and/or gastrointestinal obstruction. Do not administer this medical device to children under 12 years of age, unless otherwise advised by a doctor.
Do not swallow the tablet whole.
Due to its viscous nature, Leniref may delay or reduce the absorption of concurrently administered drugs: therefore, a doctor should be consulted before use, especially if contraceptive pills or life-saving drugs are being taken. The product can be combined with pharmacological products such as omeprazole, cimetidine or cisapride; however, it is recommended to consult your doctor before taking Leniref.
Apart from cases of individual intolerance, no side effects have ever been reported with the use of Leniref at therapeutic doses, with the exception of mild and transient nausea or constipation. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
Keep out of reach of children. If you are taking medication, consult your doctor before using the product. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking the product. Do not exceed the recommended doses as overdoses may cause constipation or transient diarrhea. Leniref is contraindicated in cases of chronic constipation or diarrhea, kidney disorders, or chronic heart failure. Check the expiry date before use and do not use Leniref after the expiry date or if the original packaging is not perfectly intact.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from sources of light and heat.
Shelf life with intact packaging: 36 months.
