Description
Medical device that acts mechanically, thanks to the barrier action of sodium alginate, HMW mucopolysaccharides, and the carbonates contained within it. Upon contact with the stomach, these ingredients react to form a gel, while the carbonates release carbon dioxide allowing the gel to float and form a plug that mechanically prevents the upward flow of gastric juices into the esophagus. The viscosity of the syrupy form allows for even distribution over the gastroesophageal area, enabling the ingredients to exert mucoadhesive functionality and promote contact of protective substances on irritated mucous membranes.
Ingredients
Sodium alginate, HMW mucopolysaccharides, potassium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, water, xylitol, xanthan gum, sodium hydroxide, carbomer, potato protein extract, flavor, sucralose, chlorhexidine, hexamidine.
How to use
One single-dose stick of 15 ml after main meals and at bedtime or as otherwise advised by a doctor. Shake well before use.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended dose, adhere to the usage instructions. Do not use in case of known or suspected hypersensitivity to one or more components of the product. Discontinue treatment and consult a doctor if symptoms persist or if there are adverse reactions. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiration date. The expiration date refers to the product in intact packaging and properly stored. The product may appear more or less viscous without any alteration in product quality. The presence of sodium requires special attention in administering alginates to those who are aware of hypertension, heart failure, or renal insufficiency. The product may interfere with the absorption of orally administered medications. It is recommended to consult your doctor before use if you are taking other medications regularly and in case of a particularly low-sodium diet.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat sources.
