Description
Medical device with a laxative action that, through an osmotic action, regulates the intestine naturally. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, does not irritate the mucosa, and is eliminated in the faeces in an unmodified form. PediaPEG® is particularly indicated for chronic constipation and in cases of occasionally irregular bowels. Thanks to its affinity for water, PediaPEG® softens the stool, facilitating evacuation without causing cramps or abdominal pain, or urgent conditions. Its effectiveness does not decrease over time.

Ingredients
Each sachet of PediaPEG contains 6.563 g of Macrogol 3350.
Excipients: silicon dioxide, flavouring, sodium saccharin.

Gluten and lactose free.

Instructions for use
- Children aged 2 to 6 years (weighing > 10 kg): 1 sachet per day.
- Children aged 7 to 11 years: 1 sachet twice a day.
- Adults and children over 12 years: 2 sachets 1-3 times a day.
For prolonged use, reduce the dose to 2-4 sachets per day.
Dissolve the content of one sachet in half a glass of still water (approx. 62.5 ml).
The daily dosage can be divided into several administrations.
The dose may be increased or decreased based on the individual response to treatment.
It is recommended, in any case, to consult your doctor.
Use the product in children only after medical advice. Normally the maximum dosage should not exceed 6 sachets per day.

Warnings
Keep out of reach of children. The oral solution must be prepared at the time of consumption. Do not use the device in children under two years of age. Absolutely do not exceed the recommended doses: in case of overdose, unexpected side effects may occur. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, take PediaPEG only after consulting a doctor.
During treatment with PediaPEG, it is advisable to follow an adequate diet, accompanied by the administration of an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to avoid dehydration; however, it is recommended to consult a doctor. Do not use PediaPEG for more than 30 consecutive days; if symptoms persist, consult a doctor. Do not use in case of intolerance to the product. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the components and to polyethylene glycol.
Each sachet is for single use and should only be opened at the time of use.
Do not take PediaPEG® in case of: intestinal stenosis, intestinal perforation, inflammatory bowel diseases (such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis). Do not take in case of intestinal obstruction. There is no experience regarding its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, therefore take PediaPEG® only if absolutely necessary and under medical advice. In patients with kidney problems, no dosage adjustment is necessary. The duration of treatment with PediaPEG® should not exceed two weeks. If necessary, repeat the treatment. Prolonged use may be necessary in cases of refractory and/or chronic constipation. This constipation may be caused by pain medications (opioids) and for the treatment of Parkinson's (anticholinergics) or may occur in cases of conditions such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease that can cause refractory constipation.

Storage
Store the intact package in a dry place away from light or direct heat sources: open the sachet only before use. Do not use if the package is damaged.
Store the device below 25 °C.
The expiry date refers to the product in an intact package, correctly stored.
