Description
Food for special medical purposes with calcium L-methylfolate, B vitamins and zinc.
Product with a high L-methylfolate content for the dietary management of subjects with hyperhomocysteinemia resulting from a proven genetic deficiency of methyltetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR). L-methylfolate in the presence of specific coenzymes, vitamin B12, B6, B2 and zinc, is able to provide the methyl group necessary for the reconversion of homocysteine into methionine even in the presence of the genetic defect.
Ingredients
Bulking agents: microcrystalline cellulose, dibasic calcium phosphate; coating agent: acetylated starch; zinc oxide; coating agent: talc; anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide; coating agents: calcium carbonate, glycerol; anti-caking agents: talc, vegetable magnesium stearate; calcium L-methylfolate, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin B2 (riboflavin); colorants: iron oxides; vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin).
Gluten free.
Naturally lactose free.

Warnings
The product must be used under medical supervision. The product is suitable for oral administration in adult patients; the product is not suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition.
Due to the high folic acid content, the product is contraindicated for subjects who do not have the genetic defect of methyl-tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR).
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
The minimum shelf life refers to the product correctly stored in intact packaging.
Keep out of reach of children under three years. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
