STERILE SOLUTION

Thanks to the possibility of adhering a contact lens to the cornea using this solution, it is possible to examine the iridocorneal angle and the fundus. It is also possible, again using Gel 4000, to perform laser procedures such as:
- iridotomy;
- iridoplasty;
- trabeculoplasty;
- capsulotomy;
- vitrealysis;
- retinal photocoagulation.
Finally, by using Gel 4000 solution on the probe, ultrasonography of the eyeball can be performed.

Directions for use
The product must not be used more than thirty days after the first opening of the container. The use of the product is reserved for ophthalmologists.

Characteristics
It is a 2% sterile aqueous solution of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose corresponding, at a temperature of 20°C, to a viscosity of 4000 cPs (centipoise). Gel 4000 is characterized by the following chemical-physical properties:
- it is perfectly transparent;
- it is soluble in water in all proportions;
- it does not form insoluble precipitates with metallic salts or organic residues that may be present;
- it is stable at pH values between 2 and 13.

Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose; sodium chloride; sodium merthiolate; purified sterile water.
