GLUCOMETER WITH PIC GLUCO SAFE MONITOR 1 PIECE PIC
PIC
Pic Safe Gluco Monitor
Description
Glucometer for measuring blood glucose.
Glucose in the blood sample mixes with the strip's reagent and generates a low electrical current. The level of electrical current generated depends on the blood glucose concentration.
Pic Safe Gluco Monitor measures the generated current and converts it into a blood glucose concentration value. This value is displayed on the glucometer's LCD screen.
The strip with 8 electrodes ensures high accuracy and precision.
Technical specifications
Instructions for use
To obtain accurate results, allow the glucometer to acclimatize to the operating environment. The operating temperature must be between 5°C and 45°C.
If the ambient temperature is below or above the glucometer's operating range, a thermometer icon will appear on the display. Move the glucometer to an environment between 5-45°C, wait for 30 minutes, and then perform the test. Do not artificially heat or cool the glucometer.
Take a new strip from the container and close it carefully. Insert the strip into the dedicated port; the glucometer will turn on automatically. When the strip and blood drop symbols appear, the glucometer is ready to perform the measurement.
Bring your finger with the blood drop close to the strip until the blue window is completely filled with blood. The blood is automatically drawn into the strip.
If the audible signal has been set, the glucometer will notify you that the measurement has started. After the blood is applied to the strip, a countdown from 5 to 1 appears on the display. When the 5 seconds are over, the result appears on the screen in mg/dL or mmol/L.
To obtain accurate results, do not let more than 20 seconds elapse between blood sample collection and measurement. The blood sample must be at least 0.5 µL. The glucometer stores the date and time of the measurement.
If the test result is below 70 mg/dL or if "LO" appears, this could indicate hypoglycemia. This situation requires immediate medical attention. Although the result may be due to an unlikely error, it is preferable to act immediately and repeat the measurement later.
If the result is above 180 mg/dL or if "HI" appears, this could indicate hyperglycemia. If you have no symptoms, first repeat the test. If you continue to get the same results or if you have symptoms, consult your doctor about what actions to take.
Cleaning the glucometer
Avoid dust.
If you need to clean the glucometer, follow these instructions carefully. Avoid blood, moisture, dirt, or dust entering the strip insertion port to prevent glucometer malfunctions.
To clean the glucometer, use a damp, lint-free cloth. Wring out the cloth thoroughly before use. Do not use an abrasive cloth or antiseptic solution as they could damage the screen.
Storage
Store the glucometer, strips, control solution along with their respective manuals.
Store the strips at an ambient temperature between 2°C and 30°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Freezing and thawing can cause inaccurate blood glucose results.
Keep the strip insertion port free of dust.
Do not expose the strips to humidity and direct sunlight, and store them in a cool, dry place. After removing a strip, close the container carefully. The strip container is designed to maintain the correct humidity. Therefore, do not transfer the strips to containers other than those provided.
Keep Pic Safe Glucocontrol solution at a temperature between 2°C and 30°C.
