Description
Ortopad is a self-adhesive occluder used in orthoptic therapies for amblyopia and strabismus. 100% colored cotton non-woven fabric support that allows skin transpiration, avoids the problem of sweating by offering maximum comfort and with swelling polymers that generate a pleasant 3d effect.
Hot melt pressure sensitive (hot melt adhesive with adhesive properties activated by pressure). High adhesion. Hypoallergenic. Solvent-free. Latex-free.
The shape of the patch is elongated in the area of adhesion to the nasal septum and allows the correct wearability of glasses at the same time as the occluder. The glasses are well aligned, without out of focus and discomfort for the patient. The elongated shape of the patch avoids lateral filtration of light, this important attribute of ortopad prevents abnormal movement of the ocular muscles that can cause a worsening of the pathology. The incisions in the area of adhesion to the nasal septum effectively prevent the formation of wrinkles on the patch that could cause premature detachment of the occluder and a reduction in comfort during orthoptic therapy.
