Medical device CE 0476, class IIa. Patch with hydrocolloid adhesive capable of protecting and treating the symptoms of cold sores. Master-Aid Herpes Patch is made of a hydrocolloid matrix deposited on a polyurethane support. This matrix has useful characteristics for the protection and treatment of lesions and is composed of carboxymethylcellulose and konjac gum. These hydrophilic polymers are able to absorb exudates and maintain a "controlled" level of humidity on the wound. Controlling the humidity of the lesion is a necessary condition for correct healing. Master-Aid Herpes Patch also contains calendula extract, a vegetable oil with emollient properties that allow the external epithelium of the labial surface to be softened, minimizing the discomfort due to the sensation of the herpes lesion.Format
