Pic Safe Gluco Monitor Test Strips
Description
Blood glucose test strips are thin strips containing a chemical reagent, which work in conjunction with the Pic Safe Gluco Monitor glucometer (not included) and allow for quantitative measurement of glucose concentration in fresh whole capillary blood.
Instructions for use
Required but not supplied materials: Pic Safe Gluco Monitor glucometer, instruction manual, lancing device, clear lancing cap (optional), and a new sterile lancet.
Before use, consult the instruction manual for more detailed information on blood sample collection.
Choose a site to puncture.
Wash your hands and the sampling site with warm soapy water.
Dry thoroughly.
Prepare the lancing device.
Check the expiration date of the intact product and the expiration date once the vial is opened.
Do not use test strips after the expiration date of the intact product or an open vial.
Insert the test strip into the glucometer in the direction indicated by the arrows.
The glucometer will turn on.
Puncture the chosen site to obtain a small, round drop of blood.
Keep the blood drop in contact with the tip of the test strip until the glucometer beeps.
Do not apply blood to the top of the test strip.
The blood glucose test result will be displayed when the glucometer has completed the countdown from 5 to 1.
Warnings
Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
Exposure to temperatures and/or humidity levels outside the specified conditions can lead to inaccurate readings.
Do not freeze or refrigerate.
Use test strips at temperatures between 5 and 45 °C.
Use test strips in environments with humidity levels between 10 and 90%.
Do not store test strips or control solution near bleach or detergents containing bleach.
Replace the cap on the vial and close it tightly immediately after removing a strip.
Always store test strips in their original vial. Use test strips immediately after removing them from the vial.
Do not use test strips that are torn, bent, or damaged in any way.
Do not reuse used test strips.
Storage
Store test strips in a cool, dry place, at temperatures between 2 and 30 °C.
