Description
Vitamin C food supplement.
Vitamin C is an essential nutrient for the body that promotes normal physiological functions and contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin C has a recognized antioxidant activity that helps protect against cellular oxidative stress: smoking, smog, and poor diet can reduce its absorption and therefore it is useful to provide a supplemental amount of vitamin C in the diet. Vitamin C promotes greater absorption of iron and is therefore useful in certain physiological situations, for example in women of childbearing age, during pregnancy and during breastfeeding, when blood iron levels may be reduced or there may be an increased need. Vitamin C contributes to the normal formation of collagen, an important protein for the natural functionality of bones, connective tissue (cartilage), skin, blood vessels, gums and teeth.
Ingredients
Sucrose, vitamin C (sodium L-ascorbate, L-ascorbic acid); anti-caking agents: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, magnesium salts of fatty acids; flavourings, maltodextrins; sweeteners: acesulfame K, sodium cyclamate, sucralose, neohesperidine DC; colourings: tartrazine*, azorubine*.
*May have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.
