Description
Disinfectant medical device.
Ready-to-use aqueous solution based on benzalkonium chloride, an antiseptic and antimicrobial active ingredient, useful for the disinfection of surgical instruments.
indicated for the disinfection (emergency or extemporaneous) and aseptic conservation of surgical instruments and non-critical medical devices, both invasive and non-invasive.
Thanks to a balanced blend of active ingredients based on quaternary ammonium salts, Sanisteril NeoFerri has a strong disinfectant, germicidal, bactericidal and fungicidal action. The formulation of the product does not show an oxidizing action on surfaces, avoiding corrosive effects on sensitive materials. The product is a clear, light blue solution with a light odor and neutral pH.

How to use
Ready-to-use solution: does not require dilution and is indicated for the disinfection of clean medical devices with contact times of 10 minutes.
In the temporary aseptic storage of clean medical devices, take care not to contaminate, do not dilute the solution and remove the instruments from the solution by taking them aseptically and rinsing them thoroughly with sterile water.
It can also be used as a decontaminant for medical devices immediately after their use, with effectiveness against HIV before subsequent treatments (minimum contact time: 10 minutes).

The product does not contain PBT or vPvB substances in a percentage greater than 0.1%.

Warnings
Causes serious eye irritation.
Causes skin irritation.
Very toxic to aquatic organisms.
Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
Do not dispose of in the environment.
Collect spilled material.
Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection.
If eye irritation persists, consult a doctor.
Wash thoroughly with water after use.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water for at least 10 minutes, holding the eyelids open; consult a doctor.
In case of contact with skin, remove contaminated clothing and wash affected areas with plenty of water.
If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; rinse mouth immediately without swallowing and drink plenty of water. Consult a doctor.
HAND PROTECTION
Protect your hands with category III work gloves (ref. standard EN 374). For the final choice of work glove material, the following must be considered: compatibility, degradation, break-through time and permeation. In the case of preparations, the resistance of work gloves to chemical agents must be checked before use as it is not predictable. Gloves have a wear time that depends on the duration and method of use.
SKIN PROTECTION
Wear long-sleeved work clothes and category II professional safety footwear (ref. Directive 89/686/EEC and standard EN ISO 20344). Wash with soap and water after removing protective clothing.
EYE PROTECTION
It is recommended to wear airtight protective glasses (ref. standard EN 166).
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
If the threshold value (e.g. TLV-TWA) of the substance or one or more of the substances present in the product is exceeded, it is recommended to wear a mask with a type A filter whose class (1, 2 or 3) must be chosen in relation to the limit concentration of use. (ref. standard EN 14387). If gases or vapours of a different nature and/or gases or vapours with particles (aerosols, fumes, mists, etc.) are present, combined type filters must be provided. The use of respiratory protection devices is necessary if the technical measures adopted are not sufficient to limit the worker's exposure to the threshold values ​​taken into consideration. The protection offered by the masks is in any case limited.
In case the substance in question is odorless or its olfactory threshold is higher than the relevant TLV-TWA and in case of emergency, wear an open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus (ref. standard EN 137) or an external air-supplied respirator (ref. standard EN 138). For the correct choice of respiratory protection device, refer to standard EN 529.

Conservation
Keep containers closed, in a well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight. Keep containers away from any incompatible materials, see section 10.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
Validity after opening: 90 days.
