CE medical device, class I. Dilagent offers effective and targeted training to the muscles of the anorectal tract, promoting functional recovery.
Anal dilator in soft silicone indicated in the treatment of anorectal tract pathologies supported by sphincter hypertonicity such as fissure, hemorrhoids and painful spasms after surgical treatments on the anorectal tract. It is also effectively used in post-surgical stenosis of the anal canal.
Anal fissure and in general all painful conditions of the anus (symptomatic hemorrhoids with hypertonicity, hemorrhoidal thrombosis, pain after surgery and anal spasms) are usually associated with hypertonicity of the internal anal sphincter. The “mushroom” shape of the probe allows the dilator to be anchored above the puborectalis muscle, releasing heat not only to the internal sphincter but also to the puborectalis muscle itself and to the muscles of the distal rectum. This important function of the Dilagent determines muscle relaxation with a healing effect in the above-mentioned pathological conditions.
Furthermore, the contracture of the puborectalis muscle (puborectalis sling) is considered one of the main mechanisms for maintaining fecal continence. During defecation, the relaxation of the anal sphincters and the puborectalis sling allows the straightening of the ano-anal canal-rectum tract, thus promoting evacuation. If, on the contrary, during defecation, there is a paradoxical contraction of the puborectalis muscle, the anorectal angle becomes more acute due to greater tension of the muscle itself, thus preventing the emptying of the rectal ampulla (anismus).
The Dilagent probe promotes the relaxation of the puborectalis muscle thanks to the direct transmission of heat and is therefore effective in the treatment of anismus.

How to use
Before treatment, it is advisable to take a sitz bath with warm water and Sapigen K for 5/8 minutes to relax the perianal muscles. Once the air contained in the probe has been removed using the syringe provided, lubricate the dilator with plenty of Dilatan Cream and insert it delicately into the anus until the handle comes into contact with the anal margin. For the first 2 or 3 days, inject 10/20 ml of warm water into the probe (40/45°). As the therapy progresses, increase the quantity of warm water up to a maximum of 50 ml. Greater quantities could cause a continuous and annoying urge to defecate. The length of the infusion tube allows you to easily perform these maneuvers in complete autonomy.
Treatment should be continued for 3-4 weeks.
After each use, wash the probe with water and neutral soap. Dry with a soft cloth before storing. Use is strictly personal.
