Eyestil GEL
Description
Sterile transparent ophthalmic gel without preservatives containing sodium hyaluronate and xanthan gum.
It relieves the symptoms of dry eyes of various kinds.
It is indicated to relieve the symptoms of ocular discomfort resulting from the use of contact lenses. EYESTIL GEL is also indicated for the treatment of wounds and abrasions of the ocular surface caused by traumatic events or following ocular surgery.
EYESTIL GEL contains two natural polymers: hyaluronic acid and xanthan gum. Applied to the conjunctival fornix, EYESTIL GEL mixes with tears and forms a lubricating, viscous and transparent bandage, reducing friction caused by eye movements and blinking.
EYESTIL GEL provides relief from dry eye symptoms caused by environmental and climatic factors such as pollen, dust, glare, pollution, use of video terminals.
Furthermore, EYESTIL GEL protects the surface of the eye during the repair processes following wounds or abrasions.
The absence of preservatives makes the product well tolerated.
How to use
Wash/sanitize hands before use.
Make sure the single-dose container is intact. Detach the single-dose from the strip. Grasp the single-dose container by the base and shake downwards. Open by twisting the top and pull. Instill EYESTIL GEL avoiding the end of the container coming into contact with the eye or any other surface.
Components
Sodium hyaluronate, xanthan gum, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, calcium chloride dihydrate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium phosphate monobasic monohydrate, sodium citrate, glycerol, purified water.
Warnings
For topical ocular use only.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the product.
Do not use Eyestil Gel if the container is open or damaged.
Do not touch the tip of the open container or allow it to come into direct contact with your eye or other surfaces.
Each single-dose container should be used only immediately after opening. Any residue should not be used, since EYESTIL GEL does not contain preservatives and the remaining product could become contaminated, exposing the patient to the risk of eye infections.
Do not use EYESTIL GEL if it is not transparent.
Administration of EYESTIL GEL to children or people with limited ability must be carried out by a responsible adult.
Do not use EYESTIL GEL after the expiry date.
Do not dispose of the product in the environment after use.
There are no known interactions of the product with the administration of drugs for ophthalmic use. However, due to the physical properties of the gel, it is recommended not to administer other drugs or medical devices for ophthalmic use within 60 minutes of the administration of EYESTIL GEL.
The product has been shown to be compatible with the simultaneous use of therapeutic contact lenses after refractive surgery (PRK).
The use of other types of contact lenses is not recommended if 60 minutes have not passed since the application of EYESTIL GEL.
Occasionally, mild, transient burning may occur.
Conservation
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
After opening the sachet, the remaining single-dose containers must be used within 12 weeks.
Validity with intact packaging: 24 months.
