Description

SELF-ADHERENT SILICONE GEL SHEET CICA CARE FOR THE TREATMENT OF SCARS 12CMX15CM 1MED

Cica-Care

SILICONE GEL

Soft, self-adhesive, semi-occlusive silicone dressing made of medical grade silicone reinforced with a support membrane. Indicated for the treatment of recent or pre-existing hypertrophic and keloid scars, as well as for prophylaxis and prevention on closed (sutured) wounds.

How to use
Wash your hands before and after use. Gently cleanse the scar and surrounding skin with mild soap and rinse with warm water. Dry the scar and surrounding tissue thoroughly.
Once you have cut the sheet to the right size for the scar to be treated, apply the adhesive side to the scar.
It is self-adhesive, but can also be held in place with a light elastic bandage or plaster. To better accustom the skin, apply for 4 hours for the first 2 days, 8 hours for the next 2 days and increase the application time by 2 hours at a time, until reaching an optimum of 24 hours per day.

Warnings
Erythema on the skin covered by the dressing has been observed in some patients. This problem has been attributed to poor hygiene or the dressing being applied with excessive pressure. If erythema appears, reduce treatment with Cica-Care to 12 hours, followed by 12 hours of rest. If erythema persists, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor. On sutured surgical wounds, Cica-Care should be applied only after the sutures have been removed and the wound has been closed.
Use is contraindicated in patients with pathologies that may interfere with the correct application of the product and in patients with dermatological problems that could make the skin in contact with the product more fragile and susceptible to irritation.
