Sterile, ready-to-use 3% NaCl hypertonic saline solution, indicated as an adjuvant in the treatment of respiratory conditions with impaired mucociliary clearance.
Thanks to the presence of sodium bicarbonate, it performs a buffering function, correcting the pH of the rhinopharyngeal mucosa.
Instructions for use
ADULTS: one vial per nostril 1/2 times a day or as directed by a doctor.
CHILDREN: half a vial per nostril 1/2 times a day or as directed by a doctor.
Carefully wash the nebulizer ampoule, strictly following the instructions of the manufacturer of the inhaler device used.
Gently bring the dispenser to the nasal vestibule and spray both nostrils.
In aerosol therapy, RINOREX SHOWER can be used alone or to dilute other medications; in the latter case, follow the instructions on the packaging of the medication to be diluted.
The 3% hypertonic saline solution cannot be combined with sodium cromoglycate, as it is visually incompatible.
Ingredients
Aqua, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate.
Warnings
Keep out of reach of children.
Avoid contact with eyes.
The product is for inhalation use only; the vial is not intended for oral use.
The vial is single-dose, non-resealable and non-reusable once opened.
The first use of the product must be under medical supervision or by qualified personnel.
Use by children must be supervised by an adult.
Inhalation of 3% hypertonic saline solution in particularly sensitive patients could cause episodes of bronchospasm; in such a case, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor to establish appropriate supportive therapy (e.g., use of bronchodilators).
In some cases, nebulization may cause a mild and transient feeling of local irritation.
Contraindicated for those who suffer from hypersensitivity to the components.
Use, especially prolonged use, can lead to sensitization phenomena; should this occur, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor to establish appropriate therapy.
It is important to report any undesirable effects not described in this leaflet to your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage
Store at a temperature between 5°C and 25°C, away from direct sources of light and heat.
Keep away from humidity.
