Medical device.
Ophthalmic solution indicated to moisten and hydrate the ocular surface and in case of dry or tired eyes. It is also indicated to lubricate contact lenses in case of discomfort.
HYABAK is recommended to moisten and hydrate the eye in case of feeling of dryness or eye fatigue caused by external factors such as wind, smoke, pollution, dust, dry heat, air conditioning, air travel, prolonged work at the computer. It gives immediate relief to the eyes, all day long.
HYABAK is also recommended for contact lens wearers. It lubricates and moisturizes the lenses, making it easier to insert or remove and wear contact lenses all day long.
The main ingredient of HYABAK is hyaluronic acid (as sodium hyaluronate), a natural polysaccharide found in the human eye that contains water to hydrate and lubricate the surface of the eye. It keeps the solution on the surface of the eye providing long-term relief and shortening the healing time of the ocular surface.
It also contains actinoquinol (an agent with anti-UV properties).
The solution is supplied in an ABAK multidose bottle. This patented device dispenses the eye drops through a 0.2 mcm filter, preventing any bacterial contamination of the solution without the use of preservatives.
HYABAK is gentle on the eyes as it is preservative-free. The absence of preservatives allows for the protection of the ocular tissues and also does not cause reactions in users sensitive to preservatives.
Sterile, phosphate-free, hypotonic and pH-neutral solution.
How to use
No special training is required to use HYABAK.
Wash your hands thoroughly before use. Do not use any tools to open the bottle. When using HYABAK for the first time, the first drop takes longer to come out due to the filtering system of the bottle (see Device Description).
Replace the cap on the bottle after use.
To moisten and hydrate the eye
Dosage: 1 drop in each eye, as often as needed during the day.
Apply one drop to the hollow of the eyelid, gently pulling down the lower eyelid and looking up. Close the eye gently after application.
To lubricate and moisturize contact lenses
Dosage: 1 drop on each lens when inserted and removed, as often as needed throughout the day.
Before putting in your contact lenses, simply dispense one drop into the lens while it is on your finger. Put your lenses in as usual and blink a few times to allow the solution to settle, ensuring even distribution of HYABAK on your eye and the surface of your contact lenses.
Components
Hyaluronic acid (as sodium hyaluronate 0.15%), sodium chloride, actinoquinol, trometamol, hydrochloric acid and water for injections (formula T1552).
Warnings
For ophthalmic use only.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
After use, do not drive or operate machinery. If vision is blurred, wait a few minutes until vision clears.
Wait at least 10 minutes between using two different ophthalmic products.
Do not dilute HYABAK or mix with other solutions.
After first use, if exposed to low atmospheric pressure, the bottle may leak.
The UV filter does not replace the use of sunglasses.
Multi-dose product for single patient. Do not use the same bottle for more than one person to prevent cross-contamination.
Make sure the packaging is intact before using this product. Make sure the tamper evident seal on the bottle is intact before using it for the first time.
To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the bottle to any surface.
You should contact a healthcare provider if your symptoms worsen or do not improve.
Do not inject or ingest.
Do not use HYABAK if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
In the absence of sufficient data, do not use HYABAK during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed by your doctor.
In the absence of sufficient data, HYABAK should not be used in children unless prescribed by a doctor.
The following side effects have been reported: rare possibility of mild eye irritation and eye redness. In such cases, contact lens wearers should remove their contact lenses.
When using eye drops, you may experience unpleasant symptoms, such as burning sensation, stinging sensation, foreign body sensation in the eye, and blurred vision for a short time.
If you notice any side effects or unusual sensations after using this product, contact a healthcare professional and report the information to your local distributor, manufacturer, or local health authority.
Conservation
Store at a temperature between 8°C and 30°C. Do not expose the product to direct light and humidity.
Do not use after the expiry date, which is stated on the bottle and the outer packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month, provided the package is intact and has been stored correctly.
